A STUDY TO ASSESS THE MECHANICAL HAZARDS AND ITS PREVENTIVE MEASURES AMONG WORKERS OF SELECTED INDUSTRIES IN MUMBAI

NEED FOR STUDY

 According to EUROSTATE figures: Every year 5,720 people die in the European Union  International Labour Organization: 159,500 workers in the EU die every year  In India: Small and medium sized enterprises record an over proportional 67% of all occupational injuries

WHAT IS MECHANICAL HAZARD

According to Medical dictionary mechanical hazards refers to machine related dangers. In this study, mechanical hazards means to dangers related to operation of machines.

OBJECTIVES OF STUDY: To identify existing knowledge To determine the effect of health teaching. To assess the knowledge of employees, and to launch our new range of safety equipments.
