***PASTOR & WIFE APPRECIATION; 14 YEARS*** FROM NOVEMBER TO OCTOBER

The Pastor & Wife Appreciation service, historically celebrated in the month of November, will now be observed in the month of October.

There were just too many scheduling conflicts in November for the First family and for the body of New Life. Whew! Going forward, we will corporately express and demonstrate our appreciation for Pastor Troy & First Lady Lynn the 3rd Sunday of each October. Oh, magnify the Lord, and let us exalt His name together. God is good, good, good! God did not send just any ol body to pastor New Life. He sent a Godly man (and wife) full of fire, compassion, commitment, knowledge of the Word, dedication, humility and a stellar reputation and work ethic. God did not send a lazy man, a conceited or arrogant or selfish man, an uncaring man, an ignorant man, an emotionless man, a thief, murderer or a moocher; He sent Troy Patrick Owens, Sr.; with his partner-in-Christ who possess the same traits and integrity. We need to do all thats in our power to properly show our gratitude for their leadership and love openly exhibited to all.

Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. So He said to them, When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

YOUR ROLE

Yes, the economy is bad. However, everyone is being asked to give as the Lord has endowed, empowered, inspired and directed you to give on an individual/family level and as a ministry. Man cannot tell you what this is or how much of it to give. Be obedient to God and give your best. Let us do right (do good!) by our Pastor & First Lady. No condemnation or lectures comparisons to what someone else is doing or what other congregations have done. If God has strengthened your financial posture and you can give money, then bless them with money. If you can prepare their favorite main entree/dessert or fry catfish, schedule a date that works for them and do this! If you are a poet, song writer, dancer or singer, go for it! Just as there are different gifts and offices, there are a number of ways to give. Find your way and do it unto the Lord.

All ministries are asked to be represented at/on the program.
