Brainstorming

Procedure
Students brainstorm on their summer holiday. They use Past Simple. The teacher pins out the verbs they have used while brainstorming and starts a discussion on the usage of Past simple. Students revise some of the irregular verbs by a picture slideshow. Students do an online matching quiz. They have to provide either a base form or a Past Participle form of an irregular verb. Students read a letter and fill in the gaps with Past Simple form of the verbs. The texts are sent to Edmodos teacher profile so that they are checked and saved in students portfolios
