Network Licensing
1. Insert MSC Software DVD media to DVD-ROM. 2. Executes Setup.exe from the DVD-ROM. 3. Select MSC.Licensing installation. 4. Select installation directory by default C:\MSC\MSC.Licensing 10.8 or you can change by selecting browse option 5. Place the license file i.e license. dat in $P3_HOME\msc_licensing\flexlm\licenses\license.dat 6. Access the Lmtools utility from Start I Programs I MSC.Software I MSC.Licensing 10.8IFLEXlm Configuration Utility 10.8 7. Configure services 8. Enter service Name i.e MSC software 9. Browse lmgrd.exe path to the Lmgrd file 10. Browse license. at path to the License file 11. Browse debug. log path to the log file 12. Click Save to save the services 13. Select start/stop/read option to check the server status 14. Reread the license file to complete the status 15. Install the MSC Nastran at Client machine

16. Right click on the My computer and select properties 17. Select Advanced and click on Environment Variables

18. Under user variables select New

19. Type Variable name and Variable value as shown

20. Select OK three times to close all the windows
