open dc++

go to file>settings

in tht personal info>

nick- write ur name(eg.amey my name)

email- write ur email add
description- ur ip(must) + desscription of urself..
line speed=100mbps

thn go to connection settings

incoming conn settings:

chhose firewall with manual port forwarding..enter tcp udp ports=6890(can be

anything bt i reccomend u 2 use 6890)

outgoing conn setings:

direct connection

downloads
set default download directories n unfinished download directories

limits should be 0 & 0

come to sharing thn

share movies/music u want using "add folder" option

plz share atleast 15gb(share softwares,movies,songs)(importnant otherwise u wont b

able 2 connect)

automaticalyy open...=50kbps(importnant otherwise u wont b able 2 connect)

upload slots=100(importnant otherwise u wont b able 2 connect)

thn go to appearance

tick on show timestams in chat by default & show joins/parts in chat by default

click ok
2:firewall settings

if u r using windows firewall thn plz disable it while using dc++ dont forget

mcafee firewall settings start here

for mcafee 2006

right click on m symbol in system tray

select personal firewall>>options>>trusted & banned ips>>add
add the ip address of the person whom you want to access your shared files.
tick the ip & click ok.

now select system services>>add

program name type: dc++

incoming tcp/ip ports:6890

outgoing tcp/ip ports:6890

incoming udp ports:6890

incoming udp ports:6890

description:leave it blank

click ok

tick mark the program name

click ok

mcafee firewall settings ends here

open dc++ now

go to file>quick connect
