    BALBALAN, Kalinga , July 22(PIA) -- In its efforts to provide modern service facilities in the locality, the local government

    unit of this growing municipality is currently constructing a three-storey market building and is set to construct another landmark -a three-story multi-purpose building at the towns center.

    Aside from the munical hall, this third class municipality prides itself with the establishment of a three-storey hostel, a three-story senior citizens building, a rural health unit and a police building, a two storey engineering building, all within reach in the municipal hall compound.

    According to Project-in-Charge Engineer Diosdado Sannadan the 21 x 42 square meters 3-storey multi purpose building will house six business stalls on the ground floor, a multi-purpose hall with kitchen and lodging rooms on the second floor and a gymnasium at the top floor designed to hold at least 5,000 people.

    "The said building," Sannadan informed "is designed to cater to local government functions and activities of the Department of Education (DepEd) and other institutions and other big events."
