WHAT IS SAFETY?
Safety may be defined to be our own activity which help us to identify our own deviation in any work situation and enable us to take precaution before any accident or incident takes place because of that deviation.
Accident
AN ACCIDENT IS AN UNDESIRED AND UNPLANNED EVENT, MAINLY CAUSED BY HUMAN ERROR AND/OR HIGH RISK CONDITIONS
THAT RESULTS IN OR HAS THE POTENTIAL FOR PHYSICAL HARM TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY AND/OR INTERRUPTION OF BUSINESS.

HEINRICH THEORY The theory shown beside by a triangle shows that behind every serious accident, there are atleast 29 minor and atleast 300 no injury and no damage cases. It is generally observed that one case (I.e. serious accident case) is thoroughly investigated and causes found out. In case of 29 minor cases, only facts are noted and in case of remaining 300 cases the investigations are not done at all. The founder of these theory has proved that if we avoid all the 300 cases( in which there are no injury or damage) than it is very easy to avoid the serious accident and minor accident.
