We all know that our countries today are suffering lack of nutrition. That was the reason why we want to launch this study, because we want to help our community to be useful. That was the reason why I want to launch this study, because I want to help our community to be useful. The Pineapple is a very popular fruit in many tropical parts of the world. The fruitlets of a pineapple are arranged in two interlocking spirals, eight spirals in one direction, thirteen in the other; each being a Fibonacci number. This is one of many examples of Fibonacci numbers appearing in nature. Pineapple (Ananas comosus) is the common name for a tropical plant and its edible fruit, which is actually a multiple fruit consisting of coalesced berries. It was given the name pineapple due to its resemblance to a pine cone. The pineapple is by far the most economically important plant in the Bromeliaceous. Besides being produced for consumption, it can be grown as an ornamental or houseplant, obtained from the crown of a supermarket fruit. Some sources say that the plant will flower after about 24 months and produce a fruit during the following six months, while others indicate a 20month timetable. Pineapple can be consumed fresh, canned or juiced and can be used in a variety of ways. It is popularly used in desserts, salads (usually tropical fruit salads, but it can vary), jams, yogurts, ice creams, various candies, as a complement to meat dishes and in fruit cocktail. The popularity of the pineapple is due to its sweet-sour taste. The core of the pineapple is continuous with the stem supporting the fruit and with the crown, a feature unique among cultivated fruits. Pineapple is used for many other things aside from consumption. In the Philippines, pineapple leaves are used as the source of a textile fiber called pia. This fiber can use in a variety of ways such as a wall paper and a component of furnishings.

Background of the Study

The word pineapple in English was first recorded in 1398, when it was originally used to describe the reproductive organs of conifer trees (now termed pine cones). The term pine cone for the reproductive organ of conifer trees was first recorded in 1694. When European explorers discovered this tropical fruit, they called them pineapples (term first recorded in that sense in 1664 because of their resemblance to what is now known as the pine cone).

Statement of the Problem -Does the pineapple (Ananas comosus) can be made as vinegar? Significance of the Study -It makes our study important because the root and fruit are either eaten or applied topically as an anti-inflammatory and as aproteolytic agent. It is traditionally used as an antihelminthic agent in the Philippines. A root decoction is used to treat diarrhea.

Scope of Limitation -I want to include in my study the other parts of the Pineapple that has extract so that I will determine which part have more extract .And also I will statistical test used to determine the possible limitations of the finding. Definition of Terms PINEAPPLE(Ananas comosus) - is an example of a multiple fruit: multiple, spirally-arranged flowers along the axis each produce a fleshy fruit that becomes pressed against the fruits of adjacent flowers, forming what appears to be a single fleshy fruit. VINEGAR - is a liquid processed from the fermentation of ethanol in a process that yields its key ingredient, acetic acid. Hypothesis -If we use the pineapple as vinegar, it can be useful to our community because it contains a proteolytic enzyme bromelain, which digests food by breaking down protein. Pineapple vinegar can thus be used as a marinade and tenderizer for meat. The

enzymes in pineapples can interfere with the preparation of some foods, such as jelly or other gelatin-based desserts. These enzymes can be hazardous to someone suffering from certain protein deficiencies or disorders, such as Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

Review of Related Literature and Studies The pineapple. Native to South America, it was named for its resemblance to a pine cone -- the pine cone reference first appearing in print in 1398. The term pineapple (or pineapple in Middle English) did not appear in print until nearly three centuries later in 1664. Christopher Columbus is credited with discovering the pineapple on the island of Guadeloupe in 1493, although the fruit had long been grown in South America. He called it pia de Indes meaning "pine of the Indians." Today, Hawaii produces only ten percent of the world's pineapple crops. Other countries contributing to the pineapple industry include Mexico, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Philippines, Thailand, Costa Rica, China, and Asia. Methodology

Data Gathering and Method

-I observed that the Pineapple can be made as vinegar and it is useful to our community. Because it is affordable and Pineapple can be easily found in tropical areas like Philippines. Conclusion -Therefore we conclude that the Pineapple peelings can be made as vinegar and it is affordable like any other vinegar and also it is effective.
