Check list for Short report writing

Introduction
There are three things:
Reasons for writing; eg. As you requested, I have studied the reason behind the
decline in HDD industry and prepared this report.

Background information of the TOPIC; e.g. HDD industry started in the 1980’s and
since then Thailand has enjoyed the benefits. The biggest hard disk drives exporters
are Seagate, IBM Storage, and Fujitsu and the industry employs 100,000 people.

Sources of information (at least 2 sources) e.g. The findings and analysis in this report
are based on the interviews with presidents of Board of Investment, vice president of
Seagate Technology Thailand and some computer equipment makers.

Choose your Analysis carefully.

Write correct Topic Sentences.
Explain your POINTS clearly.
More POINTS, more marks.

Recommendations

Write your recommendations based on your points you mentioned in your Findings
and Analysis.
Write at lease 5 to 6 recommendations.
Recommendations should be ‘who should do what and how’.
Do not start your sentence with a ‘verb’.

Conclusions

Write the possible (immediate) future outcome of your recommendations.
