Introduction:
Geographic information systems (GIS) technology can be used for scientific

data storage and proper retrieval in the required form whenever needed. GIS is
a direct implementation of Informational Systems which are used for not only
data storage but their retrieval through proper processing.
What is a GIS?
Aim:
The aim of this project is to design and develop a GIS for IIPS, through which a
vast variety of information will be retrieved and viewed with respect to IIPS.
Goals:
1. Let people have a centralized, systematic and a single system to reach
any kind of information needed at IIPS.
2. To integrate the informational needs of the various individuals within a
common system.
3. To integrate the functioning of the various departments at IIPS.
4. To make management and information tracing more efficient at IIPS.
5. To result a systematic data storage system in order to benefit each
individual at IIPS.
6. To produce logical information out of the variety of data available at
IIPS.
7. Support decision making and strategic activities at IIPS.
