Abstract

A complex symbiosis in mangrove area will produce productive habitat to all living

organisms. High population of living organisms represented the quality of river water

which they live in. In this paper correlation between water quality parameter and

living organisms such as fish, crab and worms is determined and monitored. The

reduction rate of the living organisms as a bioindicator due to polluted river water

was plotted using GIS software. A few parameters that contributed to the population

growth of living organisms such as oxygen consumption, temperature and flow rate

of the river were evaluated.
