Technical Support Bulletin Balancing System Size and Usage Requirements In Software Release Version 2.0.0 System Performance Modeling
UPDATE LINK
To assist you in modeling performance on Version 2.0 systems, Control4 has compiled a list of system elements and the amoun Controller; these performance values are the result of testing and observation. Individual system performance may vary, howev understand whether you have adequate capacity for the system you are designing or upgrading
To model a system, simply design your project and then add all of the corresponding performance value numbers together. You the result is a positive number, then you have a system that should perform well from a resource standpoint. A result of a nega resources may be at risk and performance may suffer. In those cases you will want to add another Controller in order to ensure
Control4 has included the following table containing devices and system processes along with their respective point values. This accompanying calculator in evaluating your system capacity. Adding the processing values in the table above indicates that system resources have been overextended. We we would expec the On-Screen and Touch Screen Navigators.
Example 2: To improve the performance of the system in Example 1, we have decided to add a dedicated HC-300C primary co the audio outputs. Because of the improved performance of the HC-300C we will place On Screen Navigator on that device but processes will remain on the HC-500.
