Monica hat Halsschmerzen. Sie geht in eine Apotheke und fragt nach einem Medikament.

Lena (L): Ohoh, das klingt aber nicht gut. Hast du dich erkältet?
M: Ich weiß nicht. Eigentlich fühle ich mich gesund. Nur der Hals tut weh.
L: Na, wenn das nicht von gestern ist... Du hast ja schön laut gesungen: 'We are the
champions, my friend...'
M: Hör auf! Du warst ja auch nicht zu stoppen.
L: Stimmt, aber ich bin besser trainiert als du.
M: Übung macht den Meister.
L: He, wir haben noch viel vor, du darfst jetzt nicht krank werden! Geh doch in die
Apotheke und hol' dir etwas gegen deine Erkältung.
M: Das ist wahrscheinlich das Beste. Kommst du mit?
L: Nein, ich schreibe lieber noch ein paar Postkarten.
M: Weißt du denn, wo eine Apotheke ist?
L: Gestern habe ich eine gesehen. Gleich bei der Bushaltestelle, auf der anderen
Straßenseite.
M: Danke, dann bis gleich.
L: Bis gleich.
Apotheker (A): Guten Morgen!
M: Guten Morgen. Ich brauche etwas gegen Halsschmerzen.
A: Haben Sie auch Schnupfen oder Fieber?
M: Nein, im Moment bin ich nur heiser und der Hals tut weh.
A: Hm, haben Sie Beschwerden beim Schlucken?
M: Entschuldigung, das habe ich nicht verstanden.
A: Tut es weh, wenn Sie etwas trinken?
M: Ach so. Nein, eigentlich nicht. Es kratzt und es ist unangenehm, wenn ich spreche.
A: Möchten Sie lieber einen Saft oder Bonbons?
M: Was hilft denn besser?
A: Das ist schwer zu sagen. Der Saft wirkt gut, aber Sie dürfen ihn nur zweimal täglich
nehmen. Die Bonbons dagegen können Sie stündlich nehmen.
M: Kann ich auch beides kombinieren?
A: Das geht auch. Aber Sie sollten nach der Einnahme des Saftes zwei Stunden warten,
bis Sie wieder Bonbons lutschen.
M: Wie teuer sind die beiden denn?
A: Der Saft kostet 6,50 € und eine Packung Bonbons 2,30 €.
M: Dann nehme ich lieber beides.
A: Das macht dann zusammen 8,80 €.
M: Das habe ich passend. Hier, bitte.
A: Danke schön. Und gute Besserung!
M: Auf Wiedersehen.
M: Mmh, das tut gut!

P: Do you have a runny nose or a fever?
M: No, at the moment I'm just a bit hoarse and my throat hurts.
P: Is it difficult to swallow?
M: Sorry, I didn't understand that.
P: Does it hurt to drink?
M: Oh, right. No, not really. My throat is scratchy and it's uncomfortable to talk.
P: Would you rather have cough syrup or cough drops?
M: Which works better?
P: Hard to say. The cough syrup is effective, but you can only take it twice a day. You can
take the cough drops once every hour though.
M: Can I combine the two?
P: Sure. But you should wait two hours after taking the syrup before you suck on a cough
drop.
M: How much is it all together?
P: The syrup costs 6 Euros 50 and the package of cough drops is 2 Euros 30.
M: Then I'll take both.
