Working at SAUDI ARABIAN SAIPEM LTD –a company of the Italian Eni group- since
September 2006 until April 2008 as Electro-Mechanical Engineer at:

1-EWG-1 Project, (The scope of the project is to convert a crude oil pipeline to Gas pipeline,
owned by Aramco. The electrical and instrumentation parts contain underground cable
pulling, switch racks installing, lighting poles installation, motor operated vulvas installation,
instruments installation, grounding and cathodic protection activities).

2-UWW Project, (The scope of the project is to upgrade the wastewater system at east/west
pipeline pump stations and the oily water system at pump station number one. The project is
owned by Aramco. The electrical and instrumentation parts contains underground cable
pulling, switch racks installing, lighting poles installation, PLC upgrading, motor’s control
circuits, grounding and cathodic protection activities. )

3-KUC Project, (The scope of the project is to construct a part of Khuraise Gas-Oil
Separate Plan owned by Aramco.

:GRADUATION PROJECT

DIAGNOSTIC OF SINGLE PHASE-CAPACITOR-RUN AT VARIABLE FREQUENCY BY

USING LABVIEW SOFTWARE.

The objective of the project is to study the static characteristics and to control the speed of the
AC single phase induction motors.
The start of the project was by studying the single phase induction motors and the methods
used to control its speed.
 Then by using LabVIEW software we program a model of the motor which shows the static
characteristic and the performance in several conditions of capacitance, voltage and frequency
values.
We use a Pulse Width Modulated Inverter to generate a desired voltage and frequency.
