Electrostatic discharge (ESD) may damage the modules. Wear an ESD wrist strap or use a corresponding method when handling the modules. The ESD wrist strap does not work before the cabinet is earthed (grounded).
Install the transmission sub-module to the System Module and connect the DC
power cable before installing the System Module in the cabinet.

Fix the guide plates (from the site pack). The cabinet has U markings printed on the fixing rail for 2 U and 3 U units. Check the markings and the sticker on the right-hand side to determine the starting place for module installation. The markings are in 1 U increments on both sides of the racks. 1 U is 44.45 mm.

Steps 1 Remove the fixing studs, cage nuts and their support plates, and cable support plates from the module casings. Fix the cage nuts inside the cabinet according to the configuration and fix the guide plates.
!
The modules are heavy. The weight of the modules must not be supported by front panel screws alone. The guide plates must be used in Flexi Cabinet for Indoor (FCIA) installations. The cabinet has U-markings printed on the side rails in 1U increments. Check the markings to determine the starting place for module installation. 1U is 44.45 mm.
Fix the cage nuts so that the nut brackets point upwards and downwards instead of
left and right. 3 4 5 Slide the first module in. Fix the module to the cabinet with screws. Repeat for each subsequent module. Further information For instructions on how to connect the module cables, see Cabling Flexi WCDMA BTS and Creating Configurations.

2.2
Route the cables for each module so that they do not interfere with installation or
removal of other modules. It is recommended that all external cables are routed on the right side and only internal power cables are routed on the left side. There are slots on the sides of the cabinet core and on the cabinet roof for tying the cables. The cables are fixed with cable ties, except for power supply cables. The fixing of power supply cables is done with special isolated cable clamps, which are included in the site bag. Routing external cabling of FCIA The external cabling of the base station is routed through the roof and along the right side of the cabinet. Cables are fixed to the cabinet with cable ties. Route the power cable through the cable clamp, and through one of the cable entry holes. Route all other external cables through one of the cable entry holes.

Installing I-HSPA Adapter in cabinet with Flexi Mounting Kit Horizontal for 2G
Purpose The procedure for mounting the I-HSPA Adapter into the horizontal mounting kit for the UltraSite GSM/EDGE BTS cabinet is the same as for the Flexi WCDMA BTS modules, described in the Flexi WCDMA BTS documentation Installing modules in cabinet with Flexi Mounting Kit Horizontal for 2G. Before you start
!
The modules are heavy. The weight of the modules must not be supported by front panel screws alone. The guide plates must be used in installations using Flexi Mounting Kit Horizontal for 2G. Check that all other Flexi WCDMA BTS modules have been installed. If fitted, remove dummy panel in location required for I-HSPA Adapter. Summary For installation into an UltraSite GSM/EDGE cabinet with Flexi Mounting Kit Horizontal for 2G, the I-HSPA Adapter is installed without the Flexi 2U module casing.

When Talk Conversion Kit EMIA is used: Install the casings and modules, and connect the cables for the appropriate configuration. Do not install the side cable entries, front covers or back covers. If back covers are preinstalled on the casings, remove them before installation. For instructions on installing and cabling the modules, see Installing Flexi WCDMA BTS modules for stack, wall, and pole configurations and Cabling Flexi WCDMA BTS and creating configurations. Follow the same cabling principles, except do not route the cables through cable entries. For module grounding principles, see Grounding principle for Flexi BTS modules in Citytalk cabinets.
If you are using the Flexi System External Alarm Module (FSEB), install the Flexi
Mounting Auxiliary Brackets (FMAA) and the FSEB, and connect the cables before installing the top casing (see step 7). 15 If you are using the FSEB, install the FMAA and FSEB on the top casing. If the door alarm kit is installed, route the door alarm cable around the sides and connect it to the FSEB. For instructions on installing the FMAA and FSEB, see Installing Flexi Mounting Auxiliary Brackets (FMAA) and Installing Flexi System External Alarm (FSEB) in Installing Flexi WCDMA BTS optional items. 16 When Talk Conversion Kit EMIA is used: Install the back wall of the Talk Conversion Kit (EMIA). a) Remove the air guide plate from the back wall by loosening the two M5 x 10 TORX screws connecting it to the back wall.

Installing I-HSPA Adapter with Flexi WCDMA BTS in Flexi BTS cabinet
6 Installing I-HSPA Adapter with Flexi WCDMA BTS in Flexi BTS cabinet
Purpose This section describes the procedure for the installation of I-HSPA Adapter with Flexi WCDMA BTS inside either an outdoor cabinet (FCOA) or an indoor cabinet (FCIA). The basic procedure for installing the I-HSPA Adapter is the same as for the Flexi BTS modules, described in Installing Flexi WCDMA BTS Modules in Cabinets. Before you start
!
The modules are heavy. The weight of the modules must not be supported by front panel screws alone. The guide plates must be used. Check that all other Flexi WCDMA BTS modules have been installed. Summary For installation into the Flexi BTS cabinet, the I-HSPA Adapter is installed without the Flexi 2U module casing. Steps 1 If necessary, remove the dummy panel at the location where the I-HSPA Adapter is to be fitted. Fix the guide plates for the I-HSPA Adapter (from the BTS cabinet site pack). For more information on fixing the guide plates, see Installing Flexi WCDMA BTS Modules in Cabinets. 3 If there are no cage nuts in the required locations, install or move them as required by your configuration. If applicable, remove the unnecessary cage nuts. Slide the I-HSPA Adapter into position. Fix the I-HSPA Adapter to the cabinet with the two M5x25 Torx captive screws from the I-HSPA Adapter delivery. The modules are heavy. The weight of a module must not be supported by front panel screws alone. Therefore, side trays or plates are required under each module in a thirdparty cabinet. Modules are installed without side cable entries, cable support plates and plastic front and rear covers. Steps 1 2 3 4 Remove any plastic front and rear covers from the modules. Remove cable support plates and their fixing screws from the module casings. Remove all fixing studs from the module casings. Remove the cage nuts (4 pcs) from the module casings and insert them on the rack according to the module locations. Insert as many side trays as necessary into the cabinet.
