On behalf of Peace linkers, and associate child welfare and youth development clubs across Sierra Leone, I
write in support of Tamba Mayoh’s application for a British non-immigrant visa in respect of the above
youth education conference.
Over five years of active positive work, Tamba Mbayoh, has now attained youth leadership status, serving
as coordinator for all children/youth non-formal educational activities. His duty stretch across civic
education, peace studies, HIV/AIDS, EPI/ UNICEF, general health education, and Tec-Voc. Skills training
and cultural studies. His diligence and ability to organize and lead others into meaningful development
activities has contributed greatly in strengthening peace links objective, which is highly beneficial to Sierra
Leone and the world.
Highlights of a couple of his numerous local and global youth development processes are land marked by
his active participation with the on going Radio Unamsil Children/youth Forum Network which started in
2001. (B) Active participant with the UNFPA Children/youth art competition 2000 to present; emerging as
outstanding award winner. (C) Active participant at the CHILDREN FOR PEACE AND EDUCATION
CONFERENCE in Accra Ghana 2000-supported by the ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and children’s
affairs Sierra Leone in conjunction with international Child-youth welfare/development facilitators (D) In
December 2004 Tamba received the NATIOAL CHILDREN’S EXCELLENCE AWARD; Presented by the
President of Sierra Leone and facilitated by the Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs
with UNAMSIL.
