Golden light meditation
Created by Osho, in this meditation imagination is used to
experience the real, says Amrit Sadhana
his meditation is created
by Osho to transform the
energy that gathers at the
sex centre, and channelise it
upwards. In this meditation
imagination is used to
experience the real. For
better results do it twice a
day: early morning and just
before going to bed. These
are the times when
consciousness changes gear,
so it is easy to penetrate the
inner realm through the gaps.
1 ge: Do it first thing in
the morning. Lie down in the
bed and when you breathe in,
just visualise great light
entering from your head into
your body, as if a sun has
risen just close to your head
— golden light pouring into
your head, You are just hollow
and the golden light is
pouring into your head, and
going out through your toes.
It will cleanse your whole
body and will make it
absolutely full of creativity.
This is male energy.
on When you
breathe out, visualise
darkness entering through
your toes, a great dark river
entering through your toes,
coming up, and going out
through the head. This is
feminine energy: it will
soothe you, it will make you
receptive, it will calm you. Do
slow, deep breathing so you
can visualise. And just out of
sleep you can have very deep
and slow breaths because the
body is rested, relaxed.
Do it for 20 minutes early
in the morning.
For the night meditation
lie down on the bed, relax for
afew minutes. When you
start feeling that now you are
wavering between sleep and
waking, just in that middle,
start the process again, and
continue for 20 minutes. If
you fall asleep doing it, that is
the best, because the impact
will remain in the
subconscious and will go on
working.
