Anti-Foul Language Campaign

The staII and students oI East Minico are committed to eliminating Ioul language and actions in
the hallways, classrooms and at school Iunctions. As part oI this commitment we will implement
the Iollowing:
1. Advisory teachers will work with students in advisory to develop a list oI toxic words and
actions that everyone agrees are toxic to a positive atmosphere.
2. Schoolwide discipline posters will be posted throughout the building. Posters will
include the student-generated lists oI toxic words and actions.
3. Teachers will enIorce the schoolwide discipline plan consistently according to the
schoolwide discipline plan outlined in the Student Handbook.
4. Teachers will utilize Advisory to teach at least two lessons each month on the monthly
character traits identiIied by the district.
5. The building administration team will work closely with students and Iamilies to counsel
those that violate the schoolwide discipline plan.
6. Teachers will utilize the proIessional learning community Iorum oI our Iaculty meetings
to study the pamphlet 'Bullying in Schools, What You Need to Know.
7. Following the above PLC book study, teachers will use the lessons and activities
contained in the pamphlet during advisories to educate and empower students to
stop/prevent bullying at East Minico.
8. All staII will support and promote parent trainings being oIIered by the district
9. As outlined in their job descriptions, teachers, coaches/advisors, and all school personnel
are expected to enIorce, adhere to, and support the Anti-Foul Language Campaign.
