Melissa Fredette, Executive Vice President


As Executive Vice President, Melissa is responsible for Cultural Care Au Pairs customer service and quality efforts as well as sales and marketing strategies. She has been with the company for 15 years, including four years in Luzern, Switzerland as Vice President of Au Pair Recruitment responsible for au pair recruitment efforts worldwide.

Natalie Jordan, Senior Vice President


As Senior Vice President, Natalie is responsible for oversight of the program from an operational and government regulatory perspective. Having been with Cultural Care Au Pair since 1999, Natalie had broad knowledge of the program, writes regularly about various aspects of the au pair industry and administers our on-line public host family forum.

Susan Robinson, Communications, host mom


Susans expertise with the au pair program comes from 20 years of experience with the company and hosting nine au pairs. Her on-line video series, Au Pair Answer Mom, provides prospective host families with practical information on the au pair experience. Susan is also the Director of Cultural Care Kids First Foundation, helping children in need around the world through the global community of Cultural Care Au Pair.

Sharon Kauffman, Sales, host mother, mom to multiples


As a host mom to seven au pairs, a former Local Childcare Coordinator, and a six year veteran on our team of Sales Directors, Sharon is at ease talking about her experience hosting au pairs and has her finger on the pulse of what families are looking for when seeking quality childcare. She has three children, including twins, and is an active member of the multiples community.

Sheila Bauer, Recruitment and Training, host mother, second language


As a Recruitment and Training Director, Sheila currently hires and trains local childcare coordinators. Having worked with the company for twelve years, Sheila is passionate about the cultural exchange aspect of the au pair program as well as the second language it has brought to her homeher nine au pairs have helped her children become fluent in German.

Post-Arrival Training for Au Pairs


All au pairs receive 32 hours of training in child safety and development at the Au Pair Training School on the campus of St. Johns University in Oakdale, NY. We are the only agency who provides a campus setting entirely devoted to training au pairs with dedicated full-time staff and manageable class sizes.

Act as a liaison between the family, au pair, and Cultural Care staff Host monthly au pair meetings and bi-annual host family events Interview all families and maintain monthly contact with families Make initial contact within 48 hours of an au pairs arrival to the home Conduct orientations with families and newly arrived au pairs within two weeks of arrival to the families
