MEANS OF EVALUATING PROGRESS TOWARDS PROFICIENCY

What interim measures/ assessments (i.e. Periodic Assessments, school-based assessments) both formal and informal will be the indicators to measure the effectiveness of the strategies/activities? Increase parent participation in CEAC, ELAC, SSC, meetings; Parent Conferences, Open House, and Bank to school-Night; and other monthly meetings hold by SLCs. Provide ways for parents and community to be involved at school, to assist in the parent center, help in setting conferences with teachers, implement workshops for parents, empower parents to become leaders. Help the staff develop a strong Parent Center that is open to the local community. Will also provide parent/student education programs that will not only meet the needs of parents and students but will build capacity in the school staff such that they are able to continue to implement the parent education program.

Hire one Bilingual Community Representatives to run a full-time Parent Center.
