Our school philosophy is that families, students, and school staff should wok in partnership to help each student reach his/her potential. As partners we agree to the following. As a student I will: Check e-mail daily Check gradeportal twice a week I will not perform acts of vandalism on school property Respect dress code I will exercise my freedom of speech every day I will keep an open dialogue with my group members Respect school and class rules Practice my interpersonal skills I will read my current book for at least 30 minutes ________________________________________________________ Student Signature As a parent/guardian or family member I will: Talk to my child regularly about the value of education Communicate with the school when I have a concern Monitor TV viewing and computer usage and make sure that my child attends school every day, on time, and with homework completed Make sure that my child is reading every day Support the schools discipline policy, dress code, lanyard and ID card, and school safety plan Monitor my childs academic progress through grade portal Make every effort to attend school events, such as parent-teacher conferences, student showcase nights, and parent group meeting/alliance Ensure my child gets adequate sleep, regular medical attention, and proper nutrition Paticipate in school home visits and community sponsored activities to meet my agreed upon responsibility of 10 hour or more per school year Participate in shared decision making with school staff and other families for the benefit of students Respect families, school, students and staff

As a teacher I will: Provide high-quality project based curriculum and instruction. Communicate clear expectations through entry documents and rubrics.
