Mail Merge involves :

 Creating a document with fixed data called main
document
 Creating a file with varying data called Data source
 Merging the above two documents such that the
document with fixed data is printed once for every
changing set of varying data

 An invitation for meeting is printed once for

each invitee with only invitee’s address
changing

 A sales letter is printed several times with

only customer address changing
Advantages Of Mail Merging
1. If we want to send document to several
addresses this is very much useful.
2. A Lot of time in typing can be saved.
4. The typed document can be sent to any number

of addresses within limited time.

be sent to same set of addresses.

each time can be avoided.
