FAMILIARISATION OF LOGIC GATES AND TRAINER KIT


Aim: -

O %o Iamiliarise with the digital IC trainer kit.
O %o Iamiliarise with the logic gate IC packages and to veriIy the truth tables oI AND, OR,
NO%, NAND, NOR and XOR gates.

Components and Equipments Required: -

IC 7408, 7432, 7404,7400,7402,7486 and IC %rainer kit.

(NB: Draw pin outs of all ICs and truth table on the left side of Rough record.
No need to write Theory in rough record. )

Theory: -

Procedure: -

1. %est all the components and IC packages using a digital IC %ester. Also assure
that whether all the connection wires are in good condition by testing Ior the
continuity using a multimeter or trainer kit.
2. VeriIy the Dual In-line package (DIP) oI the IC beIore Ieeding the inputs.
3. Set up the circuits and observe the output.
4. Enter the input and output states in the truth table corresponding to the input
combinations.
