EcIampsia

Definition: most sever classification of hypertension of pregnancy and


follows after the preeclamptic period; period where seizures are already
observed upon hypertension
EtioIogy
Cause: Unknown, but was first thought of a toxin produced by maternal
body against protein of the fetus, although, unproven still.
Predisposing Factors:
1. Heredofamilial factor
2. Past overweight babies on birth
3. Preeclampsia
Precipitating Factors:
1. Poor Nutrition during pregnancy
2. nability to monitor BP and maintain regular pressure
3. Untreated preeclampsia
