Mummies in investigation

Shown below are computed tomography reconstructions of the mummy of King Tutankhamun and 10 other royal mummies possibly related to him that were included in this investigation. The royal mummies backed in gray date to the early New Kingdom of ancient Egypt and were used as morphological and genetic controls.
