BASIS OF DESIGN Typical arrangement for cable route management system


Description of structure (Refer to drawing PSEC0063-SW-DWG-0072) New support structures will be required to provide a cable route management system for 8 new electrical cables. The support structures will include the following features: The cables (or ladder system) will be bolted to horizontal PFC 1005010. These PFCs are placed at 1m c/c. and are 600mm long These are placed at top and bottom of the frame made of CHS 193x6.3 A frame span over the existing and new access road and is supported by an A-shaped frame on either side and has a bracket 1.2m long at the end of proposed NLMF accommodation to support cables entering the building. This A-frame is made of CHS 193x6.3 and braced internally to support vertical travel of the cables. The clear height of the underside of lower PFC from the highest point on the existing road is minimum of 5.3m The entire arrangement is explained in sketches shown in the referred drawing. Steel grade : S275JO(H) to BS EN 10210-1 Design considerations Wind loading to be considered to each wind face including beams and cables. The whole assembly is to be galvanised to avoid any corrosion due to exposed condition. Cable installation loadings will be considered as part of the design. New NLMF accommodation building, the new access road and the new retaining wall is yet to be constructed. Hence any effect from the loadings due to these elements is not considered in the design. Soil Bearing Capacity = 50 kPa Site Location over 100km from sea and in town.
