Employee Selection Having some knowledge in food service industry is one of the criteria for employee selection at Papa

John's Restaurant. In addition, the staff also preferred to have experiences in this industry. An employee must be aged 17 years old and above. The employees also need to possess a good grooming and good characteristic. The level of thinking and job performance will be assessed through observation of the manager or supervisor. A person who intends to work at the Papa John's Restaurant will start as the part-timer and will be assigned with two to three weeks duty. After that, the employee will be absorbed as a full-time staff. The purpose of this part timer position is to see performance of the new employees before he or she was accepted as a full-time staff in this restaurant. The percentage of the staff or employee to turnover their job from this restaurant is more than 50%. There are so many reason of this turnover such as to further studies, got an opportunity to work in government sector or manage to get a better job. Overall, total staffs in Papa Johns Restaurant are 19 people. They have two shifts per day and require seven staffs per shift. The first shift will start at 10.00am until 6.00pm, while the second shift start at 2.00pm until 10.00pm.
