Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) have decided to constitute a High Level Safety Review Committee to go into all technical

and technology related aspects in connection with safety running of train services in the country under the Chairmanship of Dr. Anil Kakodkar, former Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission and Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy. Shri E. Sreedharan, Managing Director, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will be the Adviser to the Committee. The other Members of the Committee will be as under:i). Dr. N. Vedachalam, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram ii). Prof. Sanjay Dhande, Director, IIT, Kanpur iii). Shri G.P. Srivastava, Director E & I Group, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC). (Shri Amitabh, SAG/IRSME will act as Secretary of the Committee and will be assisted by a Director level officer and 3 other staff.)
