    Morality arises automatically during the evolution of the sociable, intelligent beings and not due to divine revelation and rational instincts. Morality lies in social instincts: parenting, feeding all require social mechanisms which help in counterbalancing the innate aggression of human beings. With the development of intellectual faculties, humans could reflect more on their past actions and could approve or disapprove them. This led to the development of a special moral consciousness which monitored all actions.

    NATURALISM AND ETHICAL DARWINISM NATURALISM @ Naturalism is a theoretical framework within philosophy which attributes all knowledge to arise from the study of nature. ®This school of philosophy greatly overlaps with materialism and has produced some of the best scientists. Amongst them, Charles Darwin was a foremost naturalist scientist. ETHICAL DARWINISM © Morality can be defined as a phenomena that arises automatically during the evolution of the sociable, intelligent beings and not due to divine revelation and rational instincts. ©Morality is then a useful adaptation that increases the “fitness” of its holders. @While Darwin was working on his theory he found it particularly difficult to justify the higher moral traits exhibited by humans.
