CORPORATE/STRUCTURED CREDIT PORTFOLIO MANAGER

NYC based diversified alternative asset manager seeking a Portfolio Manager with at least three (3) years of risk-taking experience within the corporate credit space, including structured credit products such as CLOs, to join our investment team. The successful candidate will commit capital on behalf of the firm primarily within the CLO capital structure and will report directly to the Head of Corporate Credit. Job Responsibilities Manage a pod of capital primarily in CLOs and other structured credit markets and employing portfolio hedges as necessary. Run entire trade life cycle and all related tasks, including trade execution, entry and reconciliation with middle and back office. Facilitate and manage information flow/communication with Wall Street counterparties both electronically and via phone. Collaborate with Strategy and Research team to discuss investment ideas and relative value as well as offer feedback/input to fundamental credit, valuation, and structuring models. Operate with a heavy emphasis on risk management, involving daily reconciliation of position risk exposures and interaction with Risk Management team, including the Chief Risk Officer. Required Skills Minimum of eight (8) years work experience on either the buy or sell sides with a minimum of three (3) years risking capital within the corporate credit space, including structured products such as CLOs. Strong knowledge of CLO structures and the credit fundamentals of leveraged finance. Bachelors degree required, higher education preferred. Strong quantitative, credit analysis and financial modeling skills. Comfortable voicing opinions and receiving feedback within a highly collaborative culture. Proven ability to effectively communicate daily with strategists, analysts, Portfolio Managers and Investment Committee. Scope and responsibilities have the potential to grow over time.
