Web. 13 Jan. 2012. <http://www.loc.gov/pictures/resource/cph.3a08822/>. This is a picture of the Wright brothers walking together in 1910 at an air tournament in Long Island, NY. The sources I have selected from this image are reliable mainly because they derive from a government source. The Library of Congress (LOC) contains many images that will be used on multiple occasions on my website. The images on LOC are good examples of sourced images with legitimate information. 1909 Wright Cycle Shop. N.d. Wright Photos. N.p., n.d. Web. 12 Jan. 2012. <http://www.wrightbrothers.org>. This is a photo of the Wright Cycle Shop in 1909. This photo was taken after the first plane was flown at Kitty Hawk. This is a valuable image that will clearly be used on my website. The size of the image was especially good for observing detail, and the dates given with the image were also quite useful. This is one of the the best pictures used next to the first flight photo and a few others. Wright, Orville. Airpane. Patent 1504663. 12 Aug. 1924. United States Patent and Trademark Office. This Patent is illustrates the use of airfoil in the airplane. this is a credible source because it is a primary source made by Orville Wright himself. This is a handy source because it helps me understand what the Wright brothers were thinking when they made the airplane. This expands my viewpoint of my topic (the difficulties faced in the creation of the plane). Wright, Orville, and Wilbur Wright. The Early History of the Plane. Dayton, Ohio: n.p., [c.1911]. Project Gutenberg. Web. 20 Oct. 2011. <http://www.gutenberg.org/files/25420/ 25420-h/25420-h.htm>. This book describes how the Wright brothers created the plane and the first powered flight. This source is credible because it was written by the brothers themselves (primary source). This is a vital source because it is the Wright brothers own outlook of how the creation of the plane, and the first flight went. This is very important in research because it is what the actual creators of the plane think about my topic. Wright, Wilbur. The Belief That Flight is Possible to Man. Letter to Octave Chanute. The Wilbur and Orville Wright Papers. [Dayton]: n.p., 1900. N. pag. Library of Congress. Web. 30 Oct. 2011. <http://memory.loc.gov/master/mss/mwright/06/06001/0001d.jpg>. This Patent is the original patent of the Flying Machine. This may be important because it was made in 1906, three years after the airplane was actually made. This demonstrates the Wright Brothers lack of legal skills. This changes my view of my topic by extending my knowledge of the brothers.
