ABSTRACT: As we begin to enjoy those lazy hazy days of summer, the most important thing on most of our minds is how to keep cool during those hot days. Here is a circuit through which the speed of a fan can be linearly controlled automatically, depending on the heat produced. It uses a very simple components and works efficiently. Ic 741 is a high gain(order of million), high input impedence and low output impedence. The op-amp is constructed from several transistor stages, which commonly include a differential input stage, an intermediate-gain stage and a pushpull output stage. The differential amplifier consists of a matched pair of bipolar transistors or FETs. The push-pull amplifier transmits a large current to the load and hence has a small output impedance. A thermostat is the component of a control system which regulates the temperature of a system so that the system's temperature is maintained near a desired setpoint temperature. The thermostat does this by switching heating or cooling devices on or off, or regulating the flow of a heat transfer fluid as needed, to maintain the correct temperature. The name is derived from the Greek words thermos "hot" and statos "a standing".

Applications and Advantages: 1. This project can be used in Home. 2. This project can be used in Industry. 3. This will help in saving the energy / electicity. Future Development: 1. We can monitor more parameters like humidity, light and at the same time control them.
