WELCOME.
By simply changing our perspective we can gain a whole new slant on the world in which we live and on the future that lies before each and every one of us.
Similar to the person who looks at a glass of water that they declare is half full or half empty. It just depends on which way you perceive failure and how you respond with your mind and your mouth. How are you looking at opposition?
Pictured: shm along with the most Optimistic person I know in the world my husband.
I happen to believe that we all desire to have some level of success dened by whatever terms we deem successful. Take a moment to consider my position for a moment. I do not know anyone who aspires to be nothing, do nothing, and achieve the later in life, do you? Even infants desire to attain a level of success - crawling is monumental for the child who desires to explore the room around them. We all want to live the American Dream - a dream where opportunity is lurking just around the corner awaiting our partnership. In order to achieve this, we prepare ourselves accordingly; we go to school and get educated and re-educated, we intern, we start our own companies, we teach other and mentor to spread the knowledge to successes, but somewhere along the journey opposition occurs. Its the inevitable part of life that we all will face.
We often recognize the position as - denied, rejection, foreclosure, out-of-business signage on the door, bankruptcy and more. But I say, we are looking at these bumps in the road incorrectly. Lets call them - opportunities, positive progression, and growth. This type of view on challenges requires a shift in your mindset. This issue I will provide tools and insightful stories based on real life situations on how opposition is your opportunity for growth leading your sure path to success. The photo above is of myself and my husband. He is a hopeless optimistic, and like always, he is able to say YES You Can & Will, when the world says its impossible. This issue is dedicated to his optimistic view on life and position in my world. Be Inspired. Face every challenge with a renewed outlook and turn your NO into a YES.

The Opportunist
Finding refuge in failure.

For every person that has spoken defeat and words of nality to any situation in your life, this is your fuel to keep going - with your head raised high, knowing they will soon eat every word. Bob Williamson, a homeless young man who owned one pair of clothing, was hooked on drugs- some would argue was destined to fail. At the age of 17, he was well on his way - with no money, education or future, Bob Williamson managed to use his defeat and the words he was told all of his life you will never amount to anything, as his fuel to succeed, and his story is nothing short of success. After a near fatal head-on collision where Bob was nearly killed, he then realized in the hospital that he was something more than what his life was at his present moment. Once released with life and time on his side, Bob Williamson that he would change his path. With no college education and limited experience besides his track list of robberies and misdemeanors, Bob realized the only way he was going to get ahead was to work harder and smarter than everybody else. He took his rst job at a manufacturing plant for $350 a month. Using his logic of working smarter and harder than the rest, Bob was promoted eight times within two years reaching management level. With years of management experience and a wealth of gained knowledge, Bob Williamson was ready to start his own
company, Wildlife Artist Supply Co. (WASCO). WASCO was the beginning, Bob Williamson also built 11 companies that were all successful. Shortly before taking WASCO public, the business failed due to bad management, un-loyal employees and thieves stealing his money and contact lists for years. It was not long before Bob Williamson bounced back with more knowledgeable with a Ph.D. Horizon Software International was born. Bob Williamson and his sons created the software and modied it to t school food service and pretty soon I was dominating that market all across the country. It's the number-one system. We put it in Los Angeles Unied, the country's second-largest school district. We put it in hospitals, colleges, senior living communities, and the U.S. military. We're in the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps, every land-based ship, submarine, and remote battleeld. In 2008, Bob Williamson sold the company for 75 million. He and his wife are retired in Florida Keys. Bobs story is a true testament on how your downfalls and defeated moments in life can provide your best opportunities yet. Bob- "my mission for the rest of my life is to help people, to convince people to never give up hope.

4. Write It Out
Now that you have a checklist of all of your present-day challenges, now write down the opportunities that inherit each challenge. For example, Challenge: Im worried I will never find a job in this economy. Opportunity: In the meantime I will take some additional certification courses or start my masters degree program so that I can expand on my skills and knowledge making myself more marketable.
Just like my colleague, he was determined with a new attitude not to be consumed by his challenges, rather, fuel himself with opportunity to move in success. Today he is a Manager of a global company.
Lesson 1: When I landed my rst job, I realized that every minute of the work day counted down to the second. Lesson 2: Once I started working for myself (entrepreneur birthed in me) I resisted creating a strict schedule. Months later, I then realized scheduling is for a purpose and done on purpose. Lessons Learned: I soon found out that schedules assist in making any working day more productive. Period.
Have a Task List for the Day : The best way to be unproductive is to work throughout a day with no
needs to be accomplished. Agreed? Absolutely.
Prioritize Tasks : Free yourself of the pressure of the never-ending workload. Start prioritizing by due-out dates. Place More Emphasis on Finishing Tasks, Rather than Starting New Ones : Like your mother always told you - start what you nish. Begin to nish tasks that have been
started before creating new projects with new due-out dates. Know Strongest Times of Work Day : Everyone has a time of day when they are on re, literally. New ideas are born during this time,
you are on-task and able to multi-manage multiple assignments. This my friend is your strongest
time of the day. Schedule your day-breakers during your time of increased productiveness. Allow Yourself Flexibility : Things change. Its life. Be able to adjust to those last minute annoyances that may occur without
neglecting your focus. Have a Specied Ending Time of Work : Enough said. Dont burn out by working around the clock.
