This book by 160 Present Day Men of Achievement Press is a collection 160 touchstones of success from 160 authors of achievement. The success touchstones are mainly meant for young men and in this book the authors draw the touchstones of success and motivation from their personal experiences and lives, telling the secrets of their accomplishments. From Energy, integrity and ambition to Enthusiasm about what a person does and keeping constancy of purpose, these touchstones have been in depth evaluated using examples to show how a young man can be motivated, successful and a high achiever. This article is applicable and of significance importance to this topic as it not only provides quite a number of touchstones of success with real life experience and examples, it also shows how these can be applied in a young man s life to turn into a high achiever. In this book, Burg analyses and evaluates three main principles that are the central tenet in any success formula. The three principles as he points out are seeking out and finding the required information by following the system that other high achievers who have already gotten where a person wants to go, applying the information acquired immediately since not applying the knowledge does not lead anywhere and finally being persistent irrespective of the negative

feedbacks that a person may encounter. Burg points out that the main touchstone for success and motivation is usually the desire to be successful. He pointed various touchstone examples of why a person would be motivated to be successful. Some of these include financial freedom, living big, charitable causes, traveling the world or just a belief of doing the best one can. Burg uses various examples of famous persons or businesses to demonstrate each and every one of the principles of success. This book is applicable and of great significance to the topic under study as it not only provides that central tenets of success formula that have long been proven and timeless, but also demonstrates how each of these principles have influenced major people and businesses that have been a success in our society. In this article, Khan analyses the role of employees in ensuring effective delivery of the brand to the market and crafts a strategy of internal branding of employees in a company to motivate them to deliver superior performance. Khan concludes in his work that the main determinants of a strong motivated strategic human capital is unleashing the full potential of employees capabilities and commitment based on each employees values most. In this article, Kidane & Harvey, scholars from Howard University use regression analysis tool to analyses factors that influence success of entrepreneurs. Using a list of 35 selfmade billionaires under 51 from the Forbes 400 list, the authors regressed variables which were

viewed to be the touchstones of success of these entrepreneurs and found that family impact and business operation experience war the main factors that impacted their success accounting for 31.1% of the variation in net worth. The authors though acknowledged that the 68.9% of the other factors such as creativity and vision, innovation, risk taking among others were contributors to the motivation and success of entrepreneurs. They therefore concluded that though family impact and experience of business operation do considerably influence success of entrepreneurs, they were not the only factors; there impact in motivation and success of entrepreneurs is low. Stachura uses his own life experience to demonstrate how a person can be motivated to be success and get out of the spiral of planning and not doing. This article is of significance to the topic on motivation and success touchstones as it not only show described secrets to success but motivates a person not to get catch on the spiral of planning and not doing anything about it.

Personal Plan I plan to achieve my doctorate degree in Healthcare Administration. I am motivated and committed to a field of study; this is one of the highest honors in my lifes journey of academic progress. I want to fulfill my ongoing desire for knowledge using different methods like one-onone learning situations, such as workshops and tutorials. Im focusing on to concentrate on learning and using empowering and inspiring Web content which will assist me in maintaining my focus to be successful with college, career, and personal wellness.

I plan on developing my reading comprehension and retention as this would be very important in my own personal growth. There are various methods for reading comprehension that promote retention; Im focusing on these skills to increase my comprehension and to benefit my study habits:        Finding main ideas and supporting evidence Making suggestions and deductions Realizing theoretical relationships Use a thesaurus/dictionary if needed Testing my understanding of the material through application Summarizing main points and supporting details Rereading the material

I plan on using all available resources provided by Northcentral University, as well as other online resources. It is important to print a copy of the syllabus for each class. I think it is important to know how to navigate the library to get information on anything that I may need for my research and class assignments.
