PISTON & CYLINDER KIT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: If you are replacing this due to a seizure or some other malfunction, make sure you determine what caused the problem so you can prevent it from happening again. Tools you may need: Wiha T27x200M T-Handle Piston Ring Compressor Set

Removal
These instructions assume that you have already removed the muffler and carburetor.

Remove both intake boot metal rings

Intake boot metal rings Remove cylinder bolts

Remove cylinder

Remove intake boot

Intake boot

Piston retaining clip

Remove the piston retaining clip and remove the piston

Remove base gasket

Carefully clean gasket surface and inspect lower end for any foreign objects or bearing wear

Installation

Install compression release and intake boot on new cylinder

Put base gasket on crankcase

Install piston - Make sure arrow points toward the exhaust port

Install clips, bearing and pin

Install the two exhaust (front) bolts into the cylinder before sliding cylinder on

Using a ring compressor, compress rings on piston

Slide cylinder over piston

Feed intake boot through intake hole

Pull intake boot through hole

Re-install boot rings

Replace cylinder bolts

Install muffler, carburetor and air filter in reverse order of removal
