Cost, Time And Sustainability Implications Of Using Pre-Engineered Buildings

Per-Engineered building construction in India is growing at a very fast rate & at the same time evolving its applications. Now PEBs are becoming an integral part of present day construction. As the PEBs have applications in different disciplines, there is a greater need to understand this technology. With the sustainable motivations, the building professionals must be aware of the design & selection criteria to adopt PEB as well as its performance to achieve life cycle savings in all phases of construction i.e. concept, design, construction, completion, operation and demolition. A study of PEBs with the cost factors, time and sustainable aspects have been analyzed & developed to get the overall performance evaluation. The paper would serve as a tool to focus on the performance of PEBs and its various application.
