Provisional / Adhoc Promotion, Posting and Transfer in the grade of Inspector of Central Excise Subject to the outcome of SLPs pending in Hon ble Supreme Court. * * * * * * * * * * Consequent to the DPC meeting for the year 2007-08 held from 5.5.2008 to 9.5.2008, the following 82 Senior Tax Assistants and 1 Stenographer Gr.II are promoted to the grade of Inspector of Central Excise in the pay scale of Rs.6500-10500/- provisionally and purely on adhoc basis subject to the outcome of the SLPs filed by the department in the Hon ble Supreme Court (registered as CC No.5272-5284/2008) and interim directions dated 04.04.2008 of Hon ble Supreme Court against the judgement of Hon ble Madras High Court dated 13.4.2007 in W.P.Nos. 8361/2004 & Ors. and of the O.A.No.289/08 filed by Shri. S. Divakar & 12 Ors. before the Hon ble CAT, Madras Bench and of any other cases pending in appropriate forum.
