Technology Integration Unit/Lesson Plan Template (modified from MTS Lesson Plan Template) Lesson title: Creating a slide presentation Name: Allen Acosta Subject area: Language Arts Grade level: 4th Grade Time frame: Week to start-ongoing throughout the year Brief lesson/unit Summary/Description Individual students will get the opportunity to create a simple slide presentation using Keynote. As the students become more comfortable with their knowledge and skills, their finished products should show an increase in learning development as well as proficiency in using the Keynote. Students: a. apply existing knowledge to generate new ideas, products, or processes. b. create original works as a means of personal or group expression. Research and Information Fluency Students apply digital tools to gather, evaluate, and use information. Students: a. plan strategies to guide inquiry b. locate, organize, analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and ethically use information from a variety of sources and media c. evaluate and select information sources and digital tools based on the appropriateness to specific tasks

Computers equipped with Keynote presentation software. USB Microphones Digital Camera

Procedure (learning activities)/ lessons of unit Students will get the opportunity to get hands on practice in creating a slide presentation through instruction from the teacher and peers. Using prior work for a language arts project, the students will create a simple slide show that will show their understanding of the subject matter. Students will get the opportunity to see samples of simple slide presentations done by students from their grade level. Students will be in-serviced by the teacher on the basic process of developing their slide presentation. Students will be in-serviced by the teacher and or peer experts on the usage of Keynote software to expand their reading skills
