    Lab 3 Troubleshooting Mechanical Part#1 Report

    AIM: To understand the various mechanical problems and troubleshoot them involving system repairs and maintenance.

    OBJECTIVE: To troubleshoot and repair a system involving mechanical problems.

    PROCEDURE: Following queries were found and troubleshooted: y A relay coil from Master Control Relay was missing. The relay was of make Allen Bradley 700 HN101(24VDC) and Quantity was 1 no s. The relay was ordered and back on its base and cell was turned on. y There was no Air supply from Main Pressure Regulator. The Air Pressure Regulator Valve was fully closed. The valve was turned on and set the pressure to 50 psi.

    y The position sensing for retract position of Cylinder A was disabled because there was no Reed switch connected for position A0. Reed switch wire was unplugged. The wire was put back to its original position and sequence was successfully demonstrated. y The Flow Control Valve (FCV) was fully closed, because of that there was no movement in Cylinders. The FCV was adjusted to control the required control settings.
