Halloween and Gothic Style in Campus Orientation Program (PPK) FKIP UBL Dressing up in black and gothic style,

English Study Program UBL held campus orientation program for Teacher Training and Education Faculty in Hall F, on Thursday October 20th, 2011. This program was different with previous programs from other faculties. In this program, all participants wore black costumes which are related to Halloween celebration on October. Dr. Baginda Simaibang, M.Ed. as the Head of English Study Program in his speech said that campus orientation program is meant for introducing campus lifestyle to the new students in English Study Program FKIP UBL. He added This orientation program is meant for welcoming new students so that they can get to know each other and get close to their seniors. This program is also specially designed for all of the new students, so you have to participate actively in this program he explained. According to Mr. Baginda, the number of students in FKIP UBL is increasing from time to time and the new students are 35 persons this year. This development should motivate the students to increase their competence and equip them with soft skills and hard skills to win the competition in globalization era. Meanwhile, Yulfriwini on behalf of Rector said that this program is very good for the students. And she is very proud of all students because this program takes place inside the campus and use the campus facility. She added that by using the campus facility, it can make the students become more familiar with their campus environment. In addition, she hopes that English study program students can immediately build Executive Students Body (BEM) in faculty level. In this program, students showed their talents in many performances like modern dance, choir, and many other activities and games. There are also some performances from the lecturers. Hopefully, not only will this campus orientation tighten the togetherness between the juniors and seniors, but also keep the warm relationship among the students, lecturers, and staffs of English Study Program in FKIP UBL.
