    We will continue walking in the footsteps of Jesus as we journey through the season of Lent!

    Next week, we will learn about Jesus miracles!

    Jesus told His disciples to get on a boat and cross the lake. Jesus went up on a mountain where He could be alone to pray. Hours went by and Jesus was still on the mountain. The boat carrying the disciples was a long way from shore. A strong wind was blowing, and the boat was being tossed around on the waves. The disciples had to row against the wind all night long. Just before morning, the disciples saw a figure of a man. He looked like He was walking on the waves. He was coming closer to the boat. The men were scared and started screaming! But Jesus said to them, I am Jesus. Do not be afraid. Jesus reached the boat and got inside. Right away, the wind stopped. Then the disciples worshipped Jesus and believed He was the Son of God. Matthew 14:22-33

    In March and April, the offering money you bring will serve the Malawi Nursery School! Malawi is in Africa, so you will be sharing Gods love with children around the world!

    Pray and ask God to help you become more humble, kind, gentle, wise and loving. These were all qualities of Jesus and he wants us to have them, too! Where did Jesus teach from in todays lesson?

    Jesus was a teacher. He taught with His words and His actions. Imagine being taught by Jesus. What do you think He was like as a teacher? What would Jesus hope to teach you? Jesus teaches through the Bible. Read Matthew 5:1-12 as a reminder of Jesus teachings.

    Practice your memory verse! You can find it in Ephesians 4:32 or right here in your GPS!

    Look at your feet. Think about the places you walked today. Were you following in the footsteps of Jesus? Where else do you think God would like you to walk? To a neighbors home? To a kids desk at school? To a room in your home that needs some cleaning? Use your feet to follow Jesus and serve others.

    Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you.

    Ephesians 4:32
