Tentative Schedule for P471a/P472b Activities

9/1/11- First Organizational Meeting (planned for SPL 57, Thurday, 4PMlet me know if there is a conflict) -attend and ask questions 9/16/11- Advisor Selection Deadline (flexible) -submit name in person or by e-mail to SEB 9/23/11- Project Proposal Deadline -work out tentative plan with advisor -submit a short (~1pg) project proposal to SEB, containing: (name of advisor and project, the goal and plan for work) 12/5/11 (or that reading period week, t.b.a.)- Mid Course Progress Report -submit two page written report to SEB, containing: (1st pg- fall progress; 2nd page-spring semester plans) -fifteen minute oral presentation to class & SEB TENATIVE PLAN FOR SPRING (i.e., if continuing in P472b): 3/2/12 (midterm)- Second Progress Report -submit two page written report to SEB, containing: (1st pg- all progress so far; 2nd page-future plans) 4/24/12 (or that reading period week, t.b.a)- Final Course Report ~ ten page written paper (PDF&HARDCOPY&ABSTRACT) ~ twenty minute presentation to class ~ paragraph of evaluation by advisor
