Change Management
Abstract This paper discusses the concept of Change Management and its importance, role in the organisation and also the challenges faced by the organisation in implementing the necessary changes in the organisation. Change is an inevitable aspect of life. It is the essence of any entity that has life or whose existence discovering the validity in the presence of life. The most significant challenge before a manager today is how to manage change in a changing world with the knowledge of traditional, stiff and management systems and processes. Recognizing the need for organizational change and leading the organization through change is one of the most serious and challenging responsibilities in an organizational today. Change management is also referred to as transition management. This transition management model, although specifically connected to large-scale organization change, has some fascinating insights into what triggers change in organizations, and how they react. Transition management suggests that organizations have to plan for, divert resources to, and implement strategic plans to maintain with the changes. Organizational
change management takes into consideration both the processes and tools that managers use to make changes at an organizational level. Most organizations want change employed with the least resistance and with the most buy-in as possible. For this to arise, change must be applied with a structured approach so that transition from one type of behavior to another organization wide will be smooth.

Challenges for Change Management


The change is not professed to be important or even happening. The right people aren't involved: Delayed decision making; no sense of urgency; rework necessary by additional resources.

Improved resistance; attrition; employee relations issues. No clear sense of how much has been achieved; lack of momentum; project exhaustion.

Therefore to address the above mentioned challenges necessary accomplishments should be done to achieve the desired results and required changes which is planned by the organisation through effective measures to be implement through an efficient change management system.
