The Field Situation
- Students stage anti-Al-Assad demonstrations in the Damascus districts of Al-Zahra Al-Gadida and Harat Al-Maghariba, the Aleppo neighborhoods of Seif Al-Dawla and Al-Sukari and the Idlib district of Jisr ash-Shugur. The Military Situation


- Spokesman for the Syrian Revolution General Commission in Homs said Al-Assad's troops shelled the Homs suburbs of al-Qosour, and al-Bayada and Al-Waar. Thousands of refugees fled the neighborhoods of Baba Amr, Karm Al-Zeitoun, Al-Rifai, Ashira, AlAdawiya, Bab Al-Dreib, Bab Al-Siba'a and Al-Jandali had taken refuge in Khaldiyeh, the last front left in Homs district where four or five families are crammed into each house. People are also sheltering in mosques and unfinished buildings. - Commenting, on the UN Security Council's statement on Syria, Ban Ki-moon, the UN Secretary-General, says "I'm encouraged by the Security Council called for an immediate end to all violence". (The Syrian Al-Ba'ath) - In a sharp criticism of Al-Assad, the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs says, We believe that the Syrian leadership responded incorrectly to the very first manifestations of the peaceful protests. The Syrian regime commits a lot of mistakes. If AlAssad's regime fell, some regional countries will exercises great pressures for the establishment of a Sunni regime in Syria. The Internal Situation


- Some 23 citizens in Homs, including a girl and her father, martyred. Five people in Rif Dimashq, three in Hama, two in Deir AlZour and one person in Idlib, Aleppo, Latakia and Damascus were reportedly killed. (Al-Jazeera) - Young men from Homs's district Al-Rifai managed to infiltrate into the district and documented some 39 mutilated bodies scattered in roads and some houses, including a whole family of 16 people.
