Case study of Regal Jewelry Company Rn: 11078 Div : B

Introduction:
In Regal Jewelry company Mr. Fred Durham, Vice president in this company considered the situation in the polishing department. from last few months he had indications of difficulties in his company. Employees had come to his office with grievances concerning incentive rates, and complaining that standards were improperly set. However Mr. Durham had not considered these complaints to be of genuine significance. Mr. Durham had looked into those problems by checking with Mr. John Knowles, the superintendent of the finishing department.

Objectives:
Short term objective: To meet the demand of customers as early as Possible.

Long term objectives: * To bring the Harmony in an organization. * To maintain good employees relationship.

Problems:
* Strikes of employees in an organization * Setting of standards were improper.

Constraints:
* The main constraint of Regal jewelry company is Time period. Because company can not extend its time period due to Christmas Festival i.e. of 4 months only.

Criteria:
* Time * Cost * Employee satisfaction is very important criteria for the company * Quality of companys products should be improved. * Increase in payment should be done.

Alternatives:
* Getting Employees back to the work * Maintain harmony between employees and top management * Resolve administrative issues * To improve the standards which were improperly set * To restart polishing department.

Evaluation of alternatives:
* Employees and top level management should remain in harmony * To get employees back to the work.

Action Plan:
* To improve the incentive rates in the organization * To acquire new employees in an organization.

Contingency plan:
* To hire new employees in an organization can be implemented as contingency plan of the Regal jewelry company.
