Organizations in the modern days are undergoing makeover in the wake of industrialization and globalization. So, Human Resource Management practices are getting wider acceptance in the developmental and transformational process. Organization management is giving more thrust in understanding and developing the competency of employees and make use of the tool competency mapping, for the improvement of productivity, in maintaining a positive work culture and optimal use of e operations and reduce the gap between e skilled and non e skilled workers. Now a days, huge resources are spent and consultants are invited to perform competency mapping to have good human resources or putting the right people on right job.This application of the competence approach covers the operational areas of human resource management in the organization viz., selection, remuneration, vocational training, evaluation and promotion. The competency mapping works at the enterprise level than outside realms. The objective behind this effort is to identify the best, better and good and average effort on the part of the individual workers and support the best effort, encourage the better effort, empower the good effort and train the average effort of the workers towards the best performance. E-corporate world goes beyond using of any specific ICT, it also includes working collaboratively, to constantly innovate and create new ideas while facing changing problems in unknown contexts by setting up ICT competencies, standards (criterias) & certifications.
