show the entry list Momentary contacts on TD 200 version V2.1 Display part number QUESTION: How do I activate momentary contacts (key function) on TD 200 version V2.1? ANSWER: There are two different ways on TD 200 version V2.1 of setting the 'M' bit of the individual function keys. The 'M' bit is set as a momentary contact only for as long as the function key is pressed. It is reset automatically as soon as the key is released. In the TD 200 default mode, the 'M' bit is set when a key is pressed and has to be reset in the program. Up to and including STEP 7-Micro/WIN V 3.2 + SP3 the most significant bit in the data block is set as default value to 0. You work with the default mode. In order to activate the 'M' bit as momentary contact, you have to set the most significant bit of the function keys notification bits in the data block to 1.

Open the TD 200 wizard and create your messages. Then open the data block and check the value of the byte for the function keys notification bits.

If this value is equal to 0, then set this value to 128 to activate the momentary contacts.
