Construction of Magazine

By Georgia St. Louis

We chose the main image to demonstrate the isolation of her normal psychological state.

We chose to use the protagonist as the sole focus for the magazine to show that she is to blame for her own deterioration.

The distorted effect of the image was used to represent her fragmented state of mind linking in with the identity crisis felt within the protagonist.

We chose to apply the font in a handwriting style to continue with the typical handwritten designs used by Little White Lies and we felt this gave the magazine a certain professional look. We chose the white font to highlight the professional design that we were intending for the magazine and the colour white usually connotes innocence suggesting that beneath the influence of drugs there is an innocence. The Little White Lies logo had to be used to adhere to the conventions of the magazine and Little White Lies magazine itself to highlight the realism and making it seem more proficient.

The bar code again acts to demonstrate the realism of our magazine cover accentuating the proficiency of our choice of style and layout.
