Trojan Family, This afternoon I received two separate reports of possible gang activity after school today. I want you to know that we are taking necessary precautions to make sure everyone leaves our school safely. At the same time, I need your help. When the bell rings, please escort your students to the busing area, where other administrators and enforcement are waiting. Remember, we are models for our students. Please be calm and respectful; if you can, a smile goes a long way. Although this is an unfortunate event, it is also an opportunity. This is our school and we are all capable of managing the climate, together. Our campus is a place where our children feel safe and you are a major factor in this. Thank you for being models of civility and respect. We will have a brief, 10-minute debrief about the occurrence. Tomorrow, there will be individual counseling available for students.
