Cycles

Synopsis
Our story follows a man who is caught in a collision on his bike and is subsequently kidnapped from the scene. Meanwhile a local Chemist perfects his super-drug and uses the man as his first test guinea pig. The man is then faced with a mindaltering experience that leads him on a journey of full circle.

Treatment
The opening sequence shows a pov shot facing behind a moving bike; calm music sets the tone until the bike swerves off into what seems to be a crash. WE then see our protagonist for the first time as the men he was hit by are scrambling to get him into their truck. As he comes to he realises that he is strapped to a chair, in front of him enters a man with a small briefcase. This man identifies himself as a Chemist, a man who takes pride in his work, and that he has completed as he calls it a super-drug and that our protagonist is to be the first test subject. The dose is induced and the man feels himself slipping away into a deep dream. He awakens in a completely white space; there is nothing around him except for a body on the ground next to a bicycle. The man on the ground is dressed in what appears to be a spacesuit of some kind. As the man approaches the body moves and twitches before rising to its feet and calling out to our protagonist why couldnt you wait for me! The shouting becomes more and more intense as the man cowers on the ground; he shuts his eyes and awakens again to find himself in an old abandoned building. Out of the corner of his eye he sees a shape move; he then catches sight of the cosmonaut along the hallway who is walking away. As he follows the cosmonaut to the roof, he suddenly turns and holds out his had to the man but he rejects and runs away. During his escape he spots several cosmonauts all trying to catch up with him. In his haste he takes a bike that is lying on the ground and begins to ride it. From here we return to the opening shot, however this time we can see a cosmonaut running toward the bike but getting further away until the bike crashes again, the story unfolds itself as a recurring cycle of events.
